Some time ago an idea was born. This idea was that professional photo editing should be cheap, simple and accessible for everyone everywhere. This idea is now a reality, it’s called Repixl, and after a successful test phase, we’re now open for business!
You can now take advantage of a…
I came across Repixl from this article on the BBC News website and it seems an interesting site if you want a photo retouched.
Having given a few hours thought about what equipment I would get if I was not restricted by the fact that I am not a multi millionaire and I have to pay things like car insurance, here is my wish list.
1. Nikon D3X camera – I know that there is the D4 and the D800/D800E but I like the shape of the D3x which has the two CF slots rather than having XQD slot. Plus it uses the same batteries as my D3.
4. LED or continuous lights – I’m not sure what kind but for a three light set up you are looking at over £1000.
There are loads of other items that if money where no object I could list. But I would probably only use them once and then it would just sit at the bottom of my camera bag.
If you have seen the film Heat with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, Michael Mann the director had created an earlier version of the film called L.A. Takedown. That earlier version was less polished with a lower skilled cast than the later version.
With this Tumblr account and the other social media accounts I have set up for this project, they are not my first attempts. They are refined versions of previous accounts which were quite frankly embarrassing and long since deleted.
One of the few good ideas I had for a Tumblr post in one of the old accounts was what would I do if I won a nice amount on the lottery or the top Premium Bond prize.
So what would be my dream equipment set up be if I came into a load of spare cash?
Now that is worth giving some thought to.
15 July 2022 Adding this YouTube video made by a fan of the film about Heat being a remake by the director Michael Mann.
On a spur of the moment, I decided I would set up a Tumblr account without knowing what I really wanted to do with it.
It would be silly just to leave this account blank. But there maybe times when what I want to say is a bit off topic for my website or when 140 characters may not be enough.
15 July 2020 I have decided to move my Tumblr over to this platform. Why? After posting 100 articles over there, I think I have found my voice and I just want something a bit more modern looking. Besides I only have just found out that Tumblr has been brought by the company behind WordPress, so it does make sense to switch to this far superior platform.
